Metallic epoxy
Metallic epoxy means pearlescent pigments worked by hand into the base coat, for a depth and shimmer that no paint can give. Every floor is one of a kind: no two are alike.

How the effect is made
After the moisture-barrier primer we pour a pigmented base coat, then work the pearlescent pigment in by hand while it is still wet. That handwork creates the veining, the reflections and the three-dimensional effect. Everything is then sealed under a polyaspartic topcoat that resists UV and abrasion.

Where it goes
In a finished basement, a family room or a bar, in a boutique, a showroom or a reception area: anywhere the floor needs to make an impression. Under track lighting or pot lights, the glossy finish reflects the light and makes the room feel bigger.
Look and durability
The finish is smooth and glossy, with lighter and darker areas depending on how the pigment was worked. It is sealed under the same polyaspartic topcoat as the other systems, which resists UV and abrasion. Because the surface is smooth, we keep it for dry indoor rooms; in a garage, flakes are safer underfoot.

Frequently asked questions
Can I see the result beforehand?
The colour selector gives a good idea of each pigment, but a metallic floor is worked by hand: the final result is unique and cannot be reproduced exactly. That is its appeal.
Is it slippery?
The metallic finish is smooth and glossy. It suits dry indoor rooms; for a garage or an entrance we recommend flake epoxy instead.
How is it different from marble-effect epoxy?
Both are worked by hand. Metallic is about pearlescent shimmer and depth; the marble effect imitates the veining of stone, usually on a light background.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on the area, the condition of the concrete (cracks, spalling, moisture), the finish you choose and any cove base or drains. We come out for free to measure and give you a detailed written quote, with no obligation.
